Our last day in Hoi An we rented bicycles for the day ($1 each) and cycled to An Bang beach. The water was very calm here and we spent a few hours swimming and lunching and sitting in the shade.

Relaxing in the bar after a hard day's cycling! |
The following day we left Hoi An and flew to Nha Trang. We decided to fly this time (1hr 20) rather than take the train for 9 hours. After the last 13 hour train ride, I think we've had enough of the train for a while!

Our little plane to Nha Trang - it was a bit bumpy and Rosie was nervous because it was her first time on a plane with propellers! |
We arrived in Nha Trang in time for lunch, which we had in the rooftop restaurant at our hotel. After lunch we walked down to the beach and had drinks and cake. The restaurant was really nice, set just back from the beach with a pool and sun loungers and the pizzas looked good so we decided to come back here for dinner too. They also had their own micro brewery so I tried one of the beers as well. It was delicious, although I opted for the middle size and I felt a but drunk afterwards!

The next day we decided to walk 6km to Long Son Pagoda and back. Doesn't sound like very far but it's quite a big undertaking when it's so hot. We left quite early though and used the shade so it was OK. It was nice for us to leave the main tourist part of Nha Trang and do something other than beaching and eating!
For lunch we went to Yen's-the number 1 rated restaurant in Nha Trang on trip advisor. It's so good that we can afford to go to the best restaurants here. I don't think I could afford any of the top 40 restaurants in Perth!........although, we are already overspent on our Vietnam budget and we still have a week left!!
After lunch we took the bus to the Thap Ba Spa and Mud Baths where we soaked in a mud bath, mineral bath, swimming pools and waterfalls. It was definitely an experience!
In the morning we had our first sleeper bus experience in Vietnam when we travelled from Nha Trang to Mui Ne. It wasn't too bad, I even felt asleep for a bit despite it being day time!
